Y Cŵn Annwn Double Motif Tankard

The Battle Hounds of Arawn, King of the Annwfn (cognate with the Irish Tír na nÓg). These Hounds were known to be white with red ears, and their favoured hunting grounds are said to be the mountain Cadair Idris, in southern Eryri.
Hand-thrown with a toasted stoneware clay, the sgraffito is carved into a jet black underglaze.
Fired to 1220°C this Tankard is dishwasher and microwave safe, but handwashing is recommended to enhance the life span of your piece.
